Pet day

On Thursday we made Vaseline saucers. We decorated them with a symmetrical pattern. Some of us followed our draft that we made and some of us didn’t. Some of the Vaseline saucers might be going to the Waimate North Show and some will get 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize. At the parade we played some funky music. At the parade I saw some sheep, calves, creepie crawlies, bunnies, cats and a lot more. Sam even brought an EEL!!! There were also some fish and birds.

After the parade we had some fun animal themed games to play.

Garden to Table

Last week we started Garden to Table.

This week my group were in the garden. We planted the little gardens and weeded the rest of the garden from last weeks unfinished garden.

Last week I was in the kitchen. Last week for cooking we baked:

• Herb scones
• Yummy dip (guacamole and hummus)
• Baguettes
• Salad  

This week for the cooking they baked:

• Carrot muffins (delicious!)
• Flat bread (also delicious!)
• Salad
• Pumpkin dip, beetroot dip and cheesy dip.

My garden to table group is Red Radishes: Group C. We are called Pumpkin Power!

Now that I know the creative things you can do with fruit and veg. I love them now because I can make them at home.

Handwriting Sample Term 3

Here is my Handwriting Sample from term 3. 

I am good at forming my letters correctly. 

I need to work on  sloping my letters the same.

Hot Air Balloon Art

For art we created Hot Air Balloons. We used pastel for the background. We used dye and black PVA glue for the background. We weaved the basket.  My favourite part was the black PVA glue because it was fun and messy.

Maths Strategy

In class we've been learning how to do maths strategys. Here is a maths strategy I am good at. I will share how to do FINDING THE MISSING NUMBER.  

Skittles!!

In our skittles writing we were learning how to do show not tell.  🅢🅢🅢 

I think I am doing well at doing using juicy words.

Collaborative Bird Wings

We made some collaborative bird wings. We dyed our bird wings with primary complimentary colours. I did yellow and purple.

1. You need to draw patterns on the feather-shaped piece of paper.
2. You need to go over your patterns in white crayon.
3. You have to dye your feather two colours. You have to get a primary colour and a complimentary colour
