Earthworms

Hello fellow bloggers! This week (25.3.19-29.3.19) we learnt about earthworms with Mrs Fletcher and Mrs H. We had to put ourselves into groups of 3-5 to collect earthworms. I was in a group with Annelise, Brooke S and Saphera (There was also me!). My presentation is still a work in progress because I have to still gather some information and finish a couple of tasks. What I found hard was to actually find the earthworms. What was easy was to create names for the worms and to find what the worms liked the best. Our worm names were:
Worm Number 1: Jarred
Worm Number 2: Jerry
Worm Number 3: Tiny Tony
We put black paper over one side of the container, to see what kind of place the worms liked best. Darkness or Light. Then our group put some grass, leaves and dead plants in the container. This stuff was the worms food. After that we put in some soil for the worms to play in. We made a playground. It was devastating to put the worms back in the bucket because we really liked learning about worms. I learnt that the earthworms didn't like the lino because it was too cold and that they liked the darkness. I think they liked the darkness because it felt like they were underneath the soil. Also because the probably wanted to hide from us and the birds. Here are the links: To Do Tasks Do,

See you next time bloggers!
Thanks, Georgia!

Mrs Gren Report.

Hello fellow blogger! Georgia here with another great blog post.
Today, (21.3.2019) we have been doing a small animal report. It was based on MRS GREN. MRS GREN is an acronym to help you remember what a life form has to do to be a life form. What I found difficult was to find out my facts. The reason I found this hard was because sometimes the internet didn't give me what I needed. What was easy was to find the picture of a cat. It's just my cat from home!  Something that helped me was my friends. Some of my friends knew facts about cats that I didn't know. I learnt that cats can smell different poops apart. (That was very surprising!) I hope you enjoy reading my mini report. See you soon!
