Team Moana Hangi - Eating Edition

Kia Ora!!!
As you know we have been doing a hangi. This blog post is about the eating. The best part.
So we pulled it out of the hole and took it to the table.
Girls got there plates and lined up at the table. I got a bit of everything. I ate some stuffing and some fried bread. The rest I tinfoiled for Dad. Before we ate our food, we took a photo.
I liked this because this was my first hangi.
I didn't really like was that it was a really hot day and it even hotter when we watched the hangi.
I would enjoy doing a hangi again.

Animal Report

Hello fellow bloggers,
This week we did a animal report about an animal we wished was our pet. I chose a Guinea Pig because I have wanted one since I was little.
I love!!!!!!!!! Doing animal reports. I LOVED this whole task!

What I didn't like was the draft paper that we had to start on. It didn't really make sense.

Anyway, amongst all of that here is the final piece of art!

Team Moana Hangi Preparation - Hole Edition

Kia Ora,
Welcome back to my blog.
For the last few weeks of this term we have been having hangis catered by the students and supervised by our wonderful Matua Ken. Our hangi is this Friday.
We made a movie about the preparation to the hole. Denym, Leonor and I made a really cool movie.
I was the filmer, while Leonor and Denym were the actors.
The easy\fun part was making and watching our movie.
The hard\not-fun part was probably writing out the preparation of the hole.
Here is our video;

Christmas Decorations

Hello fellow bloggers,
for the past few days (two) we have been making Christmas decorations. We made them to sell at our Whanau Event. I was originally in a pair with T-man (Teziah) but then he went and made his own creations.
The first thing was snow woman. Her name was Judy. I also made a reindeer named Joey. Today I made a husband for Judy. His name is John. At home I am going to make their child called Jake.
The thing I liked: Being Creative.
The thing I disliked: Following the rules of this task and the fact that the power went off.
I made these people by using paint, toilet rolls, paper, pom-poms, pipe cleaners and glue.
Goodbye, Georgia.

Spelling Task

Hello, bloggers.
Tomorrow, we are having a spelling test so we have been practicing by selecting words from list 6-8 essential. We had to write the syllables, a sentence with the word and the root word of the sentence.
This task was fun because I got to learn what a root word is.
This task was hard because I had to re-think about a complex or compound sentence for a lot of my words.
The learning behind this task was to learn words for our spelling test tomorrow.
I would so do this task again if I could.
Here are my slides about the spelling task:

Magaret Peters Spelling Test

Kia ora everyone!
Today, we sat the Margaret Peters Spelling Test. I scored 50 which gives me a spelling age of 13.3 years
At the beginning of the year, I scored 46 and had a spelling age of 12.9 years.

So, I improved my spelling age by 4 words. I am actually 11 years and 3 months old.

I think I got this result because I was confident this morning.
See you next time!
